Needs Statement

There is consistent drop-out of female children because of their roles at home to take care of children and in the fields. Many girls are not completing their primary education and are at-risk of trafficking and exploitation for labor.

Description

The Chitwan girls’ club is organized by volunteers from the community two times a week, approximately 35 girls attend each meeting. This club reaches out to families and encourages them to send their girls to the club that utilizes the ‘Bhitri Sundarta’ (inner beauty) curriculum, provides homework help, and school visits. $347 will provide club supplies including journals for the girls, craft items, and snacks for 1 year.
